Hi, I'm Amy!
I am an Orange County-based designer originally from Guatemala. I grew up in Guatemala City and then moved to Orange County, California to continue my studies. I graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing and double minor in Graphic Design and Italian Studies.
I enjoy doing a little bit of everything, I am currently a freelance designer and illustrator as well as an entrepreneur, managing my own e-commerce business, and working in digital advertising.
Early on, I developed an interest in fine art which motivated me to explore my creativity in the form of drawing and painting. Through my high school carreer I continued to branch out and explore different art forms such as Photography, Videography, and Graphic Design. Once I started my college career this interest evolved into a passion for visual communication that inspires, informs and captivates others. This is purely what I aspire to transmit through my work.
As I designer and illustrator, I strive to keep learning from every project and every experience that comes my way and also getting inspired by the things that surround me. My international experiences, including my distinctive background as well as the times I studied abroad in Europe and Asia, have defined me and have expanded my cultural perspective. Most importantly, these experiences have opened my mind to the ways I can make my work more diverse and inclusive.
Studying and practicing Graphic Design constantly has taught me that brilliant visual communication is achieved through imaginative thinking combined with attention to detail and wise design choices. My goal is to provide effective and innovative, visual solutions to design problems using my creativity and experience.
